Accessibility Statement

Friar Tek, LLC is committed to making friartek.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology. This statement describes where the site currently stands, what we know falls short, and how to reach us if you run into a barrier.

Standard we work toward

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 at Level AA, which is the benchmark most commonly referenced for websites in the United States.

This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means most of the site meets the standard and some parts do not. We have not commissioned an independent accessibility audit, so this reflects our own review rather than third-party certification.

What we have done

• Set the language of the site and used a consistent heading structure on each page.
• Built the site so it can be navigated by keyboard alone.
• Provided text alternatives for images that carry meaning, and marked decorative images so assistive technology skips them.
• Reviewed text and background color combinations against the WCAG AA contrast thresholds.
• Kept motion limited, with no automatically playing audio or video.
• Used real text rather than images of text.

Known limitations

We would rather tell you where the gaps are than imply there are none.

• No independent audit. The site has not been tested by an outside accessibility specialist or verified against the full set of WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria.
• Linked products. Friar Tek builds software, including the Cloth Goblin mobile and web app. Those products have their own accessibility statements and their own limitations, and this statement covers only friartek.com.
• Documents. Any PDF or other document offered through the site may not be fully tagged for screen reader use. We will provide an accessible alternative on request.

If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, we want to hear about it, and we will help you get the information you were after by another route. Email info@friartek.com.

We aim to respond within three business days. Telling us the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using helps us reproduce the problem and fix it.

How we keep this current

Accessibility is ongoing rather than finished. We review this statement when the site changes materially and at least once a year, and we update the known limitations above as issues are found and resolved.
